Testosterone cypionate mg to mL.

Enter the strength on your label and an amount to see mL, and units on an insulin syringe.

Use the dose your prescriber gave you and the concentration printed on your vial or pharmacy label. Vialist does the math; it does not give dosing advice.

The fields start on an example (200 mg/mL, 100 mg). That example is not a dose for you.

Barrel size changes whether the draw fits. It does not change the units.

Turn mg into mL, and mL into units

Testosterone cypionate is sold as a liquid with the strength printed on the label in mg per mL. Because the concentration is already known, there is no mixing step. Divide the amount in mg by the concentration to get mL. Insulin syringes are marked in units, with 100 units in 1 mL, so multiply by 100 for units on a U-100 syringe.

mL = amount in mg ÷ concentration in mg per mL
    units = mL × 100

    Worked example, using the numbers the calculator starts on. At 200 mg/mL, 100 mg is 100 ÷ 200 = 0.5 mL, and 0.5 mL × 100 = 50 units.

    Worked examples

Strengths of 100 mg/mL and 200 mg/mL are the two listed on the FDA label (Depo-Testosterone prescribing information, DailyMed). The six amounts below are example numbers for the arithmetic. They are not label doses and not suggestions. Your pharmacy label may show another strength, so use the one printed on your own vial.

Each cell is computed by the same code as the calculator above. A U-100 syringe holds at most 100 units (1 mL), so any draw above that is marked as more than one syringe instead of a number of units. Its volume is still shown in mL.

    Check before you draw

    • Read the strength on the vial or pharmacy label. The same amount in mg is twice the volume at 100 mg/mL as at 200 mg/mL.
    • Confirm the syringe scale. Units depend on the scale printed on the syringe, and mL is the same on any of them.
    • Compare the result with the pharmacy label, or ask your pharmacist to check it with you.

    Questions

    Straight answers.

How many mL is 100 mg of testosterone cypionate?

At 200 mg/mL, 100 mg is 0.5 mL. At 100 mg/mL, it is 1 mL. The strength on your label decides which one applies.

How many units is that on an insulin syringe?

A U-100 syringe has 100 units per mL. So 0.5 mL is 50 units, and 1 mL is 100 units. Units depend on the scale printed on your syringe.

Where do I find the concentration?

On the vial or the pharmacy label, written as mg per mL (for example 200 mg/mL). If a label shows total mg and total mL instead, divide mg by mL.

Why does the table flag some cells?

A U-100 syringe holds 100 units, which is 1 mL. Larger volumes are marked as more than one syringe instead of a number of units, and the mL is still shown.

Does Vialist tell me what dose to take?

No. You enter the amount your prescriber gave you. Vialist does the unit math and keeps the record.
